12-21-13

Peg called about 7am and wanted $100 to buy Christmas gifts.  Was told "no"!  Many nasty calls later, she said Dad had had a stroke.  Jy, who was on the way to a funeral, called the rest home and asked if Dad had had a stroke.  They said no, but he had been weak and wouldn't get up to eat.  Jy and J went to the home to find Peg sitting in the chair and Dad in the bed.  Jy had asked most of the nurses, including one Peg had initially said told her that he had had a stroke... they all said no.  {Insert lots of fighting words here}.  Jy and J got Dad dressed and ordered a wheelchair to take Dad to the hospital for a checkup.  They got him to Jy's van, Peg asked if Jy wanted her to drive her car there, he said yes.  Jy and J and the nurse finally get Dad situated in the van and Peg says "You won't even let me ride with my own father!" and threw a cup of soda on the van.  We got to the hospital around 10:30am, Peg cooed and stroked all over Dad in the Emergency room. Asked for more money, pitched a fit and left at 11am... Right on time.  She's only good for about 30 minutes of show.  She made it out to her car to drink her coke, smoke a cigarrette and drive away.  Jy has been at the hospital with Dad for 4 and a half hours now.  The Dr.s say no signs of stroke.  Peg is still missing, go figure; she really cares about (say the following with the pathetic baby voice) "her Daddy.".

Call the paramedics!  Peg said she was visiting the cemetary and fell and hit her head on Mom's tombstone... Ouch!

11-5-13

Just in case you thought you've heard it all, Peg called today at 8:30... wait... I want you all to realize that it is the 5th of the month.  That means that she's gotten her Food Stamps debit card, her Social Security check from her fraudulent, non-existent marriage to her dead, druggie, boyfriend (bless his heart because he was actually a pretty decent guy, hope he's in heaven and happy), her disability check, and her $200 WEEKLY allowance.  OK, back to the story, she calls Jy at 8:30 in the morning to ask him for $200 more dollars.  "What for?", he asks.  "I was bored and sad so I went and did a lot of crack last night.  I owe the dealers $400 dollars, but I think $200 will keep them from killing me.".
She said she hadn't done drugs in six months.  Jy gave her the $300 dollars that she would be getting for Christmas.  He reinforced that it was her Christmas money, there would not be any more at Christmas.  Also, he told her that the next time she called for drug money, she might as well prepare to get killed, because she wouldn't get any more money to pay drug dealers... ever.

10-31-2013

Boo!  It's Halloween, Peg called to say that she was going to the hospital for her neuropathy and that her blood pressure was at "Stroke Level".   She called later to say that her doctor called her and said to come to the hospital tomorrow instead... hmmmmmm.

10/28/13 continued...

Well now that we're pretty well caught up...

The drug court probation office caught up with Ind and her drug tests came back positive... Really?!?

Instead of making her finish out her mandatory five, they gave her yet another chance.  Now, six months (I think) of drug court program.  I'm placing bets on the same old lies, the same old excuses. Guess I'm jaded.

10/28/13

Welcome folks.  This is the continuation of the TWO F C's website.  There has been a big gap in the reporting of things going on. It's been hectic, so I'll try to catch you up:

The last post was on 8/15/11.  Since then Ind has been in jail and Mom passed away in October of 2011.
Ind got out of jail just in time to get to say a last goodbye to Mom in hospice.  Ind promised Mom that she was done with her past life and she promised to clean up her act.  She was enrolled in a "drug court" program lasting 18 months.  During that time, she would be subjected to random drug testing, and would have to show progress of getting a job.  She would have to go to NA meetings and do community service. She would have to avoid people who would possibly influence her to start drugs again (Did someone say "Peg"?).
Jy helped out; rented her a house, took her to drug programs,  included her in family get togethers (more on that later). Eventually the estate bought her a house, Jy gave Ind his car (Jen had a new one, so she gave Jy her old van).  Ind got a job at Wendy's about fifteen miles away and Jy, Jen, and J took her to work and picked her up until Jy gave her the car.  Ind got an allowance from the estate by the grace of Jy.

Dad is in a memory-care, assisted living home.  This is one that Jy was able to find shortly before Mom died.  It was right next to her apartment even though it was a short-lived stay for her.  She was able to pass on knowing that Dad would be well taken care of.  He has his good days, and his bad ones.

Jy was able to find a buyer for Mom and Dad's house.  This meant that all of the belongings in the house had to be moved out.  Jy asked Ind and Peg to come help with their stuff, Peg declined "It's too hard".  Ind came over, but mostly sat outside, it was "too hard".  Jy, J, Jen, and Bri cleaned, sorted, packed, and moved all of  the stuff.  Peg's and Ind's stuff was carried over to their houses and Jy, J, Jen, and Bri moved it into their houses.  Yes, Peg and Ind barely lifted a finger unless they were shamed into it.

When Ind graduated the drug court, the job was ditched, the drugs started all over again.  The difference this time is that Ind now had her daughter living with her.  Several other people were also in-and-out of Ind's life during this time; a married man, a lesbian friend, some drug people, her mom... god knows who else.

Jy kept insisting that Ind get a job.  Ind said that she worked hard for 18 months... she deserved a break!  She was back to her old excuses: "I need money for gas, I need money for groceries, I need money because I'm/my mom/my daughter.etc.. is sick, I need money for _____" fill in the blank.  "I'm trying to get enrolled in food stamps" - always an excuse why she didn't get them.  Trying to get disability - always excuses.   Chl is no longer going to school, her mom was probably too strung out to get her there.  Chl asks Jy to help her get into online-school, he does.

Ind is constantly in the drug parts of town, yet she insists she's not using.  Peg and Ind constantly ask Jy for extra money, and berate him when he says no. Peg's 200/wk and Ind and Chl's 75/wk doesn't seem to be enough, even when they have everything but gas for the car paid for.

Yes, they both have houses, house insurance, cars, car insurance, all utilities, lawn service, pest service, cable and internet paid for them.  And somehow it's all not enough.  Ind still refuses to get a job.  Whew!
